Yes, our SPF 50 range are all vegan formulations. They are also animal-cruelty free with neither the final formulation nor individual ingredients having been tested on animals — as with all Emma Lewisham products.
Yes, our SPF 50 range is a mineral sunscreen, with 20% Zinc Oxide being the only SPF active. Our SPF 50 formulations have been assessed against Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 which is the main European regulatory framework to ensure the safety of finished cosmetic products. This involves the independent safety assessor running a toxicological analysis based on human usage on each formulation to make sure there are no expected adverse reactions, or ingredients certain groups of people (such as pregnant or breastfeeding women) would need to avoid. It therefore can be safely used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
