Emma Lewisham Sunceutical SPF 50 features 20% Zinc Oxide that forms a physical shield on the skin’s surface. Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb UV rays and transform them into heat within the skin, this shield deflects and scatters UV rays away from the skin, preventing them from penetrating and causing damage.

How do I use the SPF 50 range in a routine?

We recommend completing your usual morning skincare routine and then applying our SPF 50 products liberally as the final step, to ensure they provide optimal protection. Apply liberally 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours, or more frequently after perspiring, swimming or towelling dry.

Is the SPF 50 Mineral range vegan?

Yes, our SPF 50 range are all vegan formulations. They are also animal-cruelty free with neither the final formulation nor individual ingredients having been tested on animals – as with all Emma Lewisham products.

Can I use the SPF 50 Mineral range during pregnancy & breastfeeding?

Yes, our SPF 50 range is a mineral sunscreen, with 20% Zinc Oxide being the only SPF active. Our SPF 50 formulations have been assessed against Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 which is the main European regulatory framework to ensure the safety of finished cosmetic products. This involves the independent safety assessor running a toxicological analysis based on human usage on each formulation to make sure there are no expected adverse reactions, or ingredients certain groups of people (such as pregnant or breastfeeding women) would need to avoid. It therefore can be safely used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
