I started using Emma Lewisham around October 2023. Looking back at photos of myself I can notice the difference this has made. You know when you make a sound investment and overtime you are glad you did, Emma Lewisham skincare is one of those investments.
I came across Emma Lewisham while trying to downsize my skin route from multiple serums and find a product with potent natural ingredients. Being a health conscious person I remember hearing on a Zoe Podcast by Dr Tim Spector that over the years we had made vegetables and fruit lazy with fertilisers thus organic is always best where affordable as they still have their fighter power and I thought if that is how it works to consume organic fruit and veg, the same has to be said of how our skins absorbs the nutrients.
I started with the Super Natural Day Creme and Night Mask, adding the Vit A oil to replace my previous retinol serum when it ran out. When I discovered the newly released Supernatural Vitale Elixir, it was as if this was made just for me. My biggest skin concern is this nuisance deep line on my forehead I swear I have had since I was 17 or 18, and wow does this stuff work. I am now 44, so it is a long time to have had this line or the railway track as seen in the marketing campaign.
Having grown up in South Africa, I hit my 20’s and became aware of the sun damage I had caused myself, I was always looking for a facial SPF and, in those days, the highest one could get was SPF25 in the moisturiser and simply not affordable. Skincare has made massive strives forwards since then as well as my skincare product knowledge. It turns out a lot of the SPFs available today are not what I would want to put on my skin and will only be protecting from one form of ray. Needless to say, I was incredibly pleased when Emma Lewishman, released their sun protective moisturiser, being mineral, and SPF50 this moisturiser is magic in a jar. The team at Emma Lewisham were so quick to respond to my queries, I was standing in a store and insta messaging them as the sales lady could not answer my questions. I had wondered if by using the sun protection moisturiser I can ditch my daily moisturiser. The honesty from the team at Emma Lewishman was quick, in depth and honest, in short, I could but I would be missing out on some vital nutrients which being in my forties I decided I needed. From my personal research I was happy that with the mineral protection it had the bonus of protecting against HLEV / blue light emissions as well. If only this had been around twenty years ago.
Now onto the pricing. I can see and know firsthand how the products can be deemed too expensive, however, hear me out, do not judge before using and doing some sums. The old saying “you get what you pay for” is true in this instance. By having less products and with the refills I am saving money. I am no longer tempted to try a new product when it comes out or to buy 2 for 3 on products that are poisoning me, (I am a big fan of the Yuka app, FYI Emma Lewisham rates very high) and this is an investment in the future of my skin. Let me explain. Back in 2021 when we were allowed out more regularly as Covid ended, I started to go for regular facials on the basis that going for them was like going to the gym for my skin and I was investing in my skin for the long term. If I used products I had no faith in, then I was wasting the money on facial by following up with inferior products or products that were full of nasties.
With the incredible products the knowledge in the online articles and newsletters from Emma Lewisham, it has definitely spurred me on in the process of looking after myself from what I put on my skin, to what I put into my body for my skin, oh and the sleep I still need more of that, but this really is a great incentive and I do look forward to knowing that when I sleep I’m rejuvenating my skin in my Supernatural Sleeping Mask. The change is phenomenal and all I can say is what an investment thank you Emma and team.
P.s. The refills are genius too, and great for travelling, I always keep a bit in the packages and I’m sorted for those long-haul flights or short trips with hand luggage only
